The Learning Tea

We Brew Scholars

Our mission is to provide life scholarships to impoverished young women in India by giving them the opportunity to continue their education through university. The Learning Tea pays for complete tuition and living costs for our young scholars while providing a safe and stable dormitory living environment.











Isabela Espadas is a graduate of the Atlanta International School and a student at Parsons School of Design in New York City. She is thrilled to be joining The Learning Tea as a Creative Writing Intern, where she will bring her past experience in writing, blogging, and creative publishing. She has held extensive leadership positions with Her Campus Media, where she has become fiercely dedicated to using writing as a platform to empower women and girls.

Jennifer Hood is a Psychology student at Georgia State.  She has been working with Dr. Bombay’s for the past year as a barista, server and volunteer. She is passionate about formal education as well as lifelong learning, and human rights. Through her internship in Events and Special Projects she hopes to bring more awareness to The Learning Tea’s mission to educate women scholars in India. She also hopes to create a community center in Candler Park and Atlanta which will bring people together to make a profound impact in the world, while rooting them here in their neighborhood. She likes to spend her time reading, writing articles, and trying to make an impact in the lives of others through volunteering.
